Highlands Needlecraft Group
We meet together on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 10:00 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. We are a friendly, open group and our members are both new and experienced sewers who enjoy embroidery, tapestry, cross stitch, quilting, etc….. Sometimes we even bring our mending to do - sewing up hems and replacing buttons that have often been sitting for ages waiting for us to get round to doing it!
Some of us are more skilled and experienced than others - and some are tackling things for the first time, so we enjoy helping and encouraging each other ….. And, of course, we always have refreshments available throughout the whole morning provided by ‘The Hub’ (who are at the Church every Wednesday morning for anyone to drop in and enjoy coffee, etc.).
It would be great to see new members coming to join in, and everyone is welcome from the whole community, so if you and/or your friends would like to spend an enjoyable morning chatting, sewing, mending, or learning how to for the first time, then please come.
We keep a collection of threads, pins, bits and pieces of all sorts, so if you have something to mend that you don’t have the right colour thread for, the chances are that we’ve got it and you won’t have to buy a whole reel! Come and join us!
